Anyone for a tethered blimp ride while cruising?

You can go rock-climbing, ten-pin bowling and even surfing, so why not go for a ride in a balloon tied to your cruise ship?

Royal Caribbean is doing just that.

RCI's super liner "Oasis of the Seas" is currently undergoing sea trials. They're testing an "Aerostat" or what is more commonly known as a "tetherered blimp".

It's not certain yet. RCI's CEO says that there are a lot of technical issues to resolve before it becomes reality, and that he rates it perhaps a two to one chance of "taking off".
